Buchanan Onmitsukage Ninpo Dojo is dedicated to preserving and teaching the classical art of ninpo through the experience of its instructor, Joseph Rae. Beginning his training in 1993 at the Roanoke Bujinkan Dojo, Joseph earned his Shodan in 1998 and later traveled to Japan to test for his Godan in 2006. His background includes more than 22 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a weapons and defensive tactics instructor, followed by continued training and teaching both in the U.S. and Japan. Today, he brings this deep lineage and real world expertise to students seeking authentic, disciplined martial arts training.
